Roughly 250 Acres in Zillah, Washington, sitting at the epicenter of wine country, will soon be open to mixed commercial and destination tourism development.
The project will expand the city’s thriving commercial area along Interstate 82 with the construction of Vintage Valley Parkway, 11,000 linear feet of new roadway that will continue northwest through the Zillah Lakes golf course development until connecting with State Route 22. The project includes construction of 3,900 linear feet of water and sewer lines to ensure all utilities are in place to support future growth.
Jonathan Smith, Yakima County Development Association Executive Director, said “this project will be a game changer for the City of Zillah. In addition to general commercial development, the area has potential to become a tourist destination featuring wineries, boutique hotels, and local specialty shops.”
