“PARENTS…THE MOST IMPORTANT TEACHERS”
Title I Parent Advisory Committee in attendence at at the Title I Regional Parent Conference designed for parents of K-12 students and sponsored by Educational Services District 123 and local participating school districts. Parents were able to join a variety of engaging workshops to gain ideas on how to support their children to be succesful in school. Breakout topics included:
- How to support your children to be successful in school
- Barriers to academic success
- How to increase positive communiction with your teenager
- How to deal wth family concerns on drugs, internet safety, violence prevention, and bullying
- Who in your school and community can provide help when you most need it
- What parents can do now to prepare for immigration reform
