Thank you to Whitney Elementary families and staff for making Whitney’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Drive a success! The month of October is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and Whitney gathered donated items to support families of pediatric cancer patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital, families who often arrive at the hospital in a state of shock with nothing more than the clothes they’re wearing after a receiving a life-changing diagnosis.  Whitney families donated piles of fun art supplies, toys, coloring books, cute clothes, gift cards, and more, and these items were organized into bags that will be driven to Seattle Children’s Hospital next week to be shared with families. Thank you to everyone who participated!
