Ridgeview and Whitney students have done it again!

Imagine Learning recently sponsored a “Feeding the Northwest” challenge, allowing students to donate their THINK Points to local food banks, helping families most negatively impacted due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
School districts from Washington, Oregon, and California competed in donating THINK POINTS to a “Feeding the Northwest” campaign. Many of these districts had 6 to 7 times as many students using the program as YSD. However, Whitney and Ridgeview students stunned the Northwest when as first-year implementers of Imagine Math, they took FIRST PLACE in this charity campaign, donating over 1,000,000 THINK points, which equates to over 4500 meals.
This remarkable feat has been made possible through the tireless efforts of teachers at both schools and the enthusiastic support of the administrative teams at Ridgeview Elementary (K.C. Mitchell–Principal, Trina Hovsepian–Vice Principal, Jennifer Henson–Instructional Facilitator) and Whitney Elementary (Kim Newell–Principal, Brandon Hunt–Vice Principal, and Teresa Blondin–Instructional Facilitator).
