Over 450 Career Classes Offered in the Yakima Valley

A team of local educators is nearly finished compiling a searchable database of all the career-based classes offered at high schools across the Yakima Valley. The Career and Technical Education advisory board, which YCDA is a member of, took on the task of creating the list. One of the benefits of having all the career programs in a single place is that it will allow businesses to find programs that are graduating students that have the skills they need. This opens the door for greater collaboration between companies and the education system to align training programs to meet in-demand jobs in our area. There are over 450 unique classes on the list as of today, with more being added. The list will go live on the YCDA website in late October.
