Merla Manuel is our January 2022 Harman Center Volunteer of the Month. She is originally from San Francisco, CA. Loren, her husband, and her moved to Yakima in 2007 to help take care of Loren’s mom and sister. She has one daughter. She used to work in Retail and was a Preschool/After School teacher for 16 years. She enjoys diamond art, travelling, playing cards, dominoes, reading, and a variety of other crafts. She is caring, service – oriented, and happy. A fun and interesting fact about Merla is that she used to be part of Theatre performance and model.

Merla been volunteering at the Harman Center for over 6 years. She started to have something to do. It keeps her active, socializing with others, and she is all around feels better when she is here. Merla helps with YVSC, Inc. Soup & Sandwich and Breakfast. She helps with special events as well as is the facilitator for Saturday Pinochle, Dominoes, and Hand & Foot. Come on down to the Harman Center to meet Merla as well as some of our other Harman Center Volunteer All-Stars.
