#Discovery Lab School! Making Face Masks for First Responders and Health Care Workers!

The Discovery Lab School staff and teachers have teamed up to make over 300 cloth face masks for our community Health Care Workers and First Responders.  This effort is being led by our Librarian, Mrs. Hubbard, with massive amounts of help from both our Elementary and Middle School teachers with the cutting, ironing, sizing and shaping of the material so that Miram can sew them on her trusty sewing machine at home.  She has been providing masks for friends and neighbors as well from a box on her front porch.

The target number of masks was to make as many as 300 masks!  As of this Monday, we are happy to report that the team was closing in on 350 masks!  Way to go team!  I love the way this team has come together during these challenging times to do something good in support of our community.
