For the past 3 months, teachers at Adams have hosted Bella Bikowski for Social-Emotional training. First, participants learned about Social Emotional curriculums such as Zones of Regulation and Second Step. Through this training, teachers have increased their knowledge of how to help students recognize their emotions and providing students with strategies to regulate their emotions. The focus this week was on antecedent, behavior, and consequence and then putting it all together to determine the function “why” of the behavior. Staff also learned strategies for how to address the problem behaviors and the function of the behavior. What an awesome opportunity for Adams staff to grow their knowledge around social-emotional learning!
